Beautiful Scent

One summer night, Shelby was on her way to her boyfriends house because it was date night and Austin was going to take her on a beautiful adventure. Austin planned to take Shelby to the truck and go on a picnic in the field by a lake. Austin picked out a flower field next to a lake. While driving to the destination, Shelby started to wonder where they were going. Austin finally parked his truck and they both setup the picnic right before Shelby sat down, Austin said look over yonder, so Shelby looked over yonder and Austin got up and took three steps and grabbed a bundle of wild flowers, right before Shelby turned around and sat down she looked in the middle of the picnic and there the flowers laid she said aww Austin where did u get those, they're so beautiful I love them!!! Shelby picked them up and smelled them, she said that they were the most beautiful scented flowers she ever smelled. As she looked closer to admire them she found sunflowers, roses, daffodils, and poppies. They were the most and bestest scented flowers she had ever smelled in her life, to this day Shelby can still remember the lavished smell of the beautiful sunflowers, roses, daffodils, and poppies.

Big to Small in Seconds

One day at lunch Shelby’s friends Tiffany, Erin, Sarah, Bree, Hannah, and Brooke. Were sitting at the lunch table eating. Shelby had to go get her lunch from her locker, so all her friends waited. Sarah made Shelby eat something really hot and spicy and Shelby didn't have anything to drink so she drank her water all. Everyone stood up and walked to the drinking fountain with her. After Shelby slurped a drink of water, she immediately shrank to three and half inches tall, but everyone thought that she went to the bathroom.

Tiffany, Erin, Bree, and Brooke looked in the bathroom for her. After Shelby wasn't able to be found, everybody went and found her boyfriend Austin. They thought that she was with him. Unfortunately she wasn't. Austin looked in all the places that they met before school, during school, after classes, and where they met after school. After the group of them looked everywhere they thought she could be Austin was freaking out and got upset, so he tried to calm down. 

Austin, Tiffany, Erin, Sarah, Bree, Hannah, and Brooke met back at the drinking fountain. Austin decided to have a drink. As he looked up he, saw a little figure moving and he looked closer to see what it was. It was her! He had found his girlfriend. Why was she was three and half inches tall? He questioned everyone that she hung out with and nothing was said. Austin dropped Shelby off at her classes outside the door. Shelby climbed all the way to her desk. 

For her next block, Shelby had to stand on top of a locker so that her boyfriend could see her and take her to her next class which was AG. During Ag, Shelby had to climb up the desk and sneak around wherever she desired a couple of times. Shelby almost had gotten stepped on she ran so fast to a hiding spot which was kind of nice for her in a way. After AG she had to climb on the handrail to meet her boyfriend Austin. Austin takes her by her hand and puts her on his shoulder. Austin normally took Shelby home but today it was going to be different because Shelby was going to Austin’s house to help him study Before they went to Austin’s house, they had to stop and put gas in his tank. Austin asked Shelby if she wanted anything and Shelby said Arizona Sweet Tea. Austin comes back out to the truck and opened the sweet tea for Shelby and she takes a drink.

Austin forgot to push the gas tank lid back. When he came back from doing, that Shelby was back to her regular size. He freaked out because the last time he was in the truck there was a three and half inches of Shelby.In a way he was glad to have her back. He gave her a BIG hug and asked a bunch of questions.

The Payne’s Fun Family Vacation

One week after the Tazewell County Fair, my family, friends and I drive down to Effingham, IL to go to Lake Sara. Everyone that came down stayed there for two weeks in August right before the kids had to go back to school. Every night bonfire. The parents Rod, Rhonda, Ed, Marilyn, Mike, and Jackie roundup all the kids and tell them to go get wood so JR, JT, Shelby, Kayla, Bridget, Travis, Eddie, and Peter all figured out the best place to find wood. All the kids grab a big bundle, carry the wood back and told the parents. Everyone gets ready for dinner by taking a shower. After everyone was done, we all sat at the table and ate. We waited until 7:00pm to make the fire after everyone sets out different kinds of food. At 10:30 or so, some people had smores with RITZ crackers with caramel and chocolate or use Reese’s peanut butter cup or little candies. There were some hot dogs and brats to roast if some people were still hungry.

In the daylight around 7:00pm, the children shotguns at targets and went to the park or beach. Everyone sits around the campfire to eat and the littler kids asked the bigger kids to play hide and go seek in the dark. Later all the children played flashlight tag. After everyone settled down, all the older kids sat and talked while the parents and little kids went to bed. The older kids JT, JR, Shelby, Kayla, Travis, and Eddie stayed up. Hearing laughing around the campfire, I got all warm and fuzzy inside and a little warm on the outside. I moved away from the fire. After a while i got cold so I grabbed my camouflage tie blanket with bright orange on the inside. I sat back down and got all comfy. My brother, his friends, Kayla and Eddie wanted sweet tea so I maneuvered my way up and grabbed sweet tea, then came back and passed them out. Meanwhile I was cold and need to snuggle back up in my blanket.

As I sat down, I gazed into the beautiful blazing fire with a beautiful rust color on the wood and building up is a daffodil, Ferrari red, and tangerine. I imagined if everyone fell asleep around the fire and people cuddled because it was cold. The girls had blankets and the boys didn’t, so the girls gave them the blankets. Then Kayla and I were freezing so the boys said to hare because nobody wanted to get up because it was getting colder.

As I stopped looking at the fire, I heard music, playing and we all sat there and listened to music as we sang. After listening to music, JR, JT, Shelby, Kayla, Eddie and Travis played a mix of flashlight tag and hide and hide and go seek. All of us came back and ate chocolatey graham clusters with almonds and toffee bits, drank sweet tea and listened to the crackles and pops that came from the fire. Before everyone knew it  we were all looking at the stars and the cracks in our eyelids. Before we fell asleep, the boys were complaining that it was cold, so both of us gave them the blankets we had. Then we complained that it was cold, so they said come here to share the blankets. From now on, I will forever love campfires.

About Me

  I think of myself as an average write.... I am pretty good for my age but I always have room to improve in many different. I am mostly skilled to creative writing because i get to express my feelings and different views of things. I enjoy reading descriptive and creative writing. Challenges I have when writing are things to come up with to write about. I love to write about different things like people and food just like our journals we do in class. I have set a couple goals for when writing, like making it fun to read and seeing if I can imagine what I'm writing.
